Thousands of spectators lined the streets and rooftops of Sheringham this afternoon to watch Oliver Cromwell become the first steam engine to travel across the town's level crossing in 46 years.

A Norfolk high school has been handed a 'must do better' notice to improve by Ofsted inspectors, which is one step short of special measures. But staff, parents and students at Stalham High School have also been told efforts to change for the better since the arrival of a new headteacher a year ago meant the school was �beginning to improve quickly�.

IF there is ever proof politicians have no clue how the other half lives, we discovered it at the Tesco/Waitrose meeting. The best excuses for turning down Tesco range from the fact that it "makes our kids fat" and some 20 minutes of ranting about three trees.
