We aim for excellence for all of our pupils, whatever their ability. First time visitors to the school often comment upon the good behaviour and sense of purpose shown by the learning community here. Sheringham High School is a 'Good School' as reported in our last inspection. It provides opportunities for all its pupils to fulfil their potential academically as well as in drama, music and sport. We have high expectations for our pupils and are proud of their many achievements.

The development of a successful VI Form at Sheringham with additional accommodation gives pupils the opportunity to continue their studies without changing schools at 16. If you would like to know more about the VI Form, please contact the school. We are delighted by our "Millennium Building" which includes six new classrooms and a purpose built drama studio. Our library and learning resource centre, which opened in September 2001, is a wonderful addition to the school. A new music room and full sized all weather playing pitch have also been opened in the last 12 months.

The opening of the Woodfields School Special Needs Sixth Form in November 2002 is an important first phase in the relocation of the Edinburgh Road Special School to our site. The purpose built main school will be complete by September 2003 and we very much look forward to sharing inclusive practices.
